Willie Jordan wins Apolstolos Christou Award

Mrs. Willie Jordan is honored to receive the 2009 Apostolos Christou Award for Distinguished Christian Leadership from The King’s College and Seminary of Los Angeles, CA.

The award is presented annually by The King’s College and Seminary to an individual who has made a far-reaching impact for God, His Word and the ultimate glory of His Son, Jesus Christ by:

  • Characterizing the passion and values of timeless Christian faith.
  • Providing leadership that has notably penetrated contemporary culture.

The decision was made annually by the conferral committee in selecting the recipient of The Apostolos Christou Award based on three criteria:

  1. That the candidate is known as a confessing Christian, open and forthright in their testimony as a follower of the Lord, Jesus Christ.
  2. That the candidate’s influence, irrespective of their field of calling, extends broadly throughout as well as beyond the immediate Church community – wherever God’s providence has “sent” them as servants of Christ.
  3. That the candidate lives out an observable sense of God-assigned mission to humankind, and in pursuing their calling is constant in evidencing the spirit of that servant-like leadership Jesus characterized and taught.

Previous recipients of the award include Michael W. Smith (2008) and Pastor Rick Warren (2006).
