 Homelessness in America’s inner cities is on the rise with an estimated 254,000 men, women and children experiencing homelessness in Los Angeles County during some part of the year, and approximately 82,000 people are homeless on any given night. Unaccompanied youth, especially in the Hollywood area, are estimated to make up from 4,800 to 10,000 of these, and there are more than 4,000 homeless older adults.
An Adult Survival Box of Hope will give men and women, youth and homeless older adults living on the streets of the inner city a second chance for a better life. Please help us give basic survival necessities to these impoverished men and women – you will not only provide food and personal care items; you will provide a renewed sense of self worth and hope for the future.
One Adult Survival Box of Hope will include items such as: blanket, socks, protein-energy bars, canned soup, bottled water, toilet paper, toothbrush and toothpaste, soap, shampoo, razor and shaving cream, deodorant, washcloth, and other personal care products.
