Help for Battered Women at Fred Jordan Missions
Fred Jordan Missions has been providing help for battered women and children since it's beginning. Recent studies indicate that around the world, at least one in every three women has been beaten, coerced into sex or otherwise abused during her lifetime. At Fred Jordan Missions, battered women are protected and receive the help they need to heal. Battered women are provided meals, council, and are placed into programs that will help them recover and move forward with their lives.
Fred Jordan Missions provides help for battered women and their children in other ways by hosting several events throughout the year where they serve hot meals, provide clothing and toys for children, and help to bring holiday cheer to women, mothers and children. For Mother's Day, women and mothers receive extreme make-overs by the mission, where they receive hair cuts, styling, makeup, food and hope.
Answering God's Call to Help Battered Women
Since 1944, Fred Jordan Missions has been reaching out to the forgotten, the homeless, the lost, the downtrodden of Skid Row, Los Angeles, and throughout the inner-cities of America. Fred Jordan Missions provides practical assistance to impoverished people through food and clothing, but also provides hope, care, and love to all entering the mission. Fred Jordan Missions can only help the poor and needy through the donations received by individuals, corporations, churches and temples.
