:: Involve Your Business or Group ::
Caring about others is deeply embedded in our nation’s culture, and good corporate citizenship is a value embraced by most of America’s leading companies. Giving back is the right thing to do, because we know that only our collective goodwill can solve problems that affect so many of our communities’ neediest citizens.
Corporate involvement with Fred Jordan Missions can increase your positive impact on society, since you will be partnering with an organization that has a long history of feeding, clothing, sheltering and caring for countless thousands of impoverished families, and improving the quality of life for children and adults in need.
When you become a corporate partner, your company can also be listed on our Corporate Partners page, if desired.
Last year, in Los Angeles alone, well over 400,000 people looked to Fred Jordan Missions for their “daily bread”.
Fred Jordan Missions welcomes the support of businesses and corporations of all sizes. Gifts can be designated to fund a specific program, event or need, according to the interests and priorities of your company.
Some ways our corporate partners support our mission of improving the quality of life for families and children include:
Many corporations make cash donations to charity through their company, and some also give through a company-sponsored foundation.
“Employee matching gifts” are contributions from a corporate employer that match contributions to a charitable organization by a corporate employee, retiree or board member.
Some companies also reward employee volunteerism through contributing financially to match employees’ volunteer efforts, and some companies even permit employees to take time off from work to perform volunteer work.
The Mission’s Boxes of Hope campaign is an ideal way for businesses, groups and individuals to partner with us to help alleviate hunger and meet basic human needs.
Enlist the help of your employees, clients and vendors to collect urgently needed food and other survival items to fill our Boxes of Hope to feed and care for hungry families and children.
Volunteer Release Time Off pays for employees to volunteer for a non-profit organization away from their work site for up to 8 hours each year (or quarter of the year).
Many companies choose to give to Fred Jordan Missions during the holidays in lieu of traditional giving rather than purchase gifts for employees, vendors or clients. The Mission sends an acknowledgment to your employees, vendors and clients letting them know that a gift has been made to help feed children and families in our community.
Year-end gifts are deeply appreciated, and are an important source of income to help the Mission close the year in the black, ready to face the challenges of poverty-stricken families in the New Year.
Hold your own corporate event to benefit the Mission. From birthday parties to company golf tournaments, many businesses have found innovative ways to raise dollars to feed and care for needy families and children. The Mission will be pleased to provide information and advice to ensure your event is a great success.
Gifts-In-Kind Donations (Product donations)
“In-kind" support (contributions of equipment, supplies, or other property as distinct from monetary grants) is often offered by corporate giving programs. Such support includes food, bottled water, new clothing, blankets and baby products – and anything else that could be used to help a neighbor in need. Contact us with your large-volume product donations and we will arrange to pick them up quickly. When you donate product to the Mission, it is given to families in need, and is never sold.
A tribute gift offers your business a thoughtful, caring way to honor a special person on a birthday, or a special milestone or anniversary with your company. The Mission will mail a card to the person of your choice notifying him/her that you have made a gift in the honoree’s name. We do not disclose the amount of your gift.
