Homeless Ministry with a Mission
Fred Jordan Missions has always been a homeless ministry that not only seeks to provide food and clothing to the homeless, but also reaches out to the underprivileged by providing a caring touch that says, "You're not alone. I'm here. I'll help."
 Since 1944, Fred Jordan Missions homeless ministry has brought God's love to the hungry and impoverished of Skid Row, Los Angeles, across the nation, and to the inner-cities and remote jungles around the world.
Fred Jordan Missions serves the homeless by bringing desperately needed food and clothing to hungry families. FJM also provides after-school education for at-risk children. Destitute seniors are not forgotten, but are also provided for, ensuring they receive the food and care they need.
 More Than Just a Homeless Ministry
Fred Jordan Missions is known for compassion toward those who have lost their way. Through the assistance of donors and volunteers, FJM has built schools and hospitals, continues to distribute food and clothing to people living on the street, creates job training programs and brings holiday cheer to poor families through various annual events such as the Annual Thanksgiving Day Banquet, the Harley Davidson Toy Run, the Christmas Celebration, the Easter "Festival of Life," the Mother's Make-Overs, and Mother's Day.
- Thanksgiving Day Banquet - FJM serves on average around 2,000 underprivileged men, women and children with a sit-down homemade Thanksgiving turkey dinner. Hundreds of caring volunteers including several celebrities help make this event possible. Volunteers prepare and serve 3,000 pounds of turkey, 70 gallons of gravy, 485 pounds of green beans, 600 pounds of candied yams, 450 pumpkin pies and 20 gallons of fruit punch.
- Harley Davidson Toy Run Los Angeles - A homeless ministry that sees thousands of bikers filling the streets of Skid Row. Each biker brings a new toy on their bikes for underprivileged children. Santa even shows up on a Harley. This provides an opportunity for thousands of children to have a Christmas with gifts and cheer.
- Christmas Celebration - A homeless ministry where upwards of 12,000 less fortunate children receive brand new toys donated by churches, synagogues, corporations and other groups. Santa Claus, hundreds of volunteer elves and celebrities visit with the children and distribute gifts. For past events, Mickey and Minnie Mouse have been present courtesy of The Walt Disney Company.
- The Easter Festival of Life - A homeless ministry where, following a celebratory Easter service, hundreds of Fred Jordan Mission volunteers serve food to the hungry families and children. The streets of Skid Row are transformed for a colorful and exciting Easter party for the entire family. Past events have included Barbeque lunches, games where everyone wins prizes, petting zoos, jumpers, cotton candy, snow cones, characters from Six Flags Magic Mountain, and Easter Baskets filled with treats for children.
- Mother's Make-Overs - A homeless ministry where hundreds of impoverished mothers who struggle every day for basic necessities receive extreme make-overs and pampering including hair cutting, styling, manicures, makeup and massages. All mothers and children receive a nutritious and delicious lunch, cosmetics, clothing, a gift bag and a food box.
- Mother's Day - A special homeless ministry where hundreds of impoverished mothers, women, men, and children enjoy a delicious sit-down Mother's Day Banquet on Skid Row served by caring volunteers. Each mother receives a gift bag and a fresh flower, making her feel special and honored.
