A man was walking along a narrow path, not paying much attention to where he was going. Suddenly, he slipped over the edge of the cliff…

As he fell, the man grabbed a branch growing from the side of the cliff. Realizing that he couldn’t hang on for long, he called for help…

“Is anybody up there?”
“Yes, I’m here!” a voice said.
“Lord, help me!”
“Do you trust me?” The voice said.
“I trust you completely, Lord.”
“Good. Let go of the branch.”
“What?!” the man said.
“I said, let go of the branch.”
After a long pause the man said, “Is anybody else up there?”

Have you ever felt that way? You wanted to trust God, but you were looking for other – better options?

Well, there really are no other viable options. God’s truth is enough. His safety net is enough. Enough for all the challenges you and I could ever face.

But don’t take my word for it. Take His. For in His word He says, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” And in this world of tears and sorrow, what better message could there be for you and me?
