Famed speaker Denis Waitley tells a story, and no matter your age, I think “the Little Blue Engine” will spark something in you.

Denis tells this delightful children’s story about a little blue engine who looked at his impossible task of pulling a train up a steep hill and said, “I think I can, I think I can, I think I can.”

Filled with determination, the little blue engine huffed and puffed and pulled up the hill. But in a twist of the original story, another author wrote: “He was almost there, when—CRASH! SMASH! BASH! He slid down and mashed the engine into the rocks below… which goes to show you that if the track is tough and the hill is rough THINKING you can ain’t enough.”

So what about your “little blue engine.” As the writer points out… thinking you can make it is okay… but thinking alone is never enough. Success takes actions… putting wings to our dreams… and feet to our objectives.

Winners think constantly in terms of I can and I will. Losers concentrate on… what they should have done or would have done.

Please help me feed hungry children and families in the inner city, and turn their “little blue engine” of dreams into winners.
