Let me begin our day with a great question- asked of a highly successful businessman.

The question was this: “How have you managed to do so very much in your lifetime?” He replied, “I have dreamed. I have turned my mind loose to imagine what I wanted to do. When other people said, ‘You can’t do that, it isn’t possible,’ I was already well on my way to achieving what I wanted.”

At Fred Jordan Missions, we work with inner-city kids who haven’t yet been beaten down by society. They still believe in the future. Ask them, “What are you going to be?” They say, I’m going to be an astronaut” or “I’m going to be a surgeon.” They believe in the future.

As they grow older, ugly realism sets in, and their dreams are shattered. Here’s the good news of the gospel: we have a Jesus who creates dreams for us. Hebrews 11:1 says, “What is faith? It is the certainty that what we hope for is waiting for us, even though we cannot see it up ahead.”

Friends, don’t let anyone steal your dreams!
