Can an atheist lose their faith?

George Bernard Shaw is known as one of the foremost freethinkers and philosophers of the 20^th century. He would often debate the great Christian scholar, G.K. Chesterton, arguing against the concept of God.

Yet George Bernard Shaw wrote at the end of his life these amazing words: “The science to which I pinned my faith is bankrupt. Its counsels, which should have established the millennium, led instead, directly to the suicide of Europe. In their name I helped to destroy the faith of millions. And now they look at me and witness the great tragedy of an atheist who has lost his faith.”

Atheists believe there is no God. But friend, our loving God gave each of us the capacity to believe.
