How are you doing today? What are you thinking? Is your mind at peace…or are you dealing with issues that are challenging and difficult? Well, let’s talk about it.

Here’s what I’m discovering. When our minds are agitated by the noise, hurry and confusion of modern life, it’s difficult for us to seek the Lord’s guidance and to lean on Him for answers to the questions we have and the problems we face.

So how do we cut through the noise and distractions of life to plumb these depths?

The best way I know is simple, yet it is one of the most difficult things I face in my fast-paced life. The Psalmist wrote, Be still and know that I am God. Or as the Message Bible reads, “Step out of the traffic! Take a long, loving look at me, your High God!”

So simple, yet so difficult: Be still. Step out of the traffic, out of the rat-race. Take a long, loving look at our High God. Then we’ll begin to see the answers we’re seeking.
