We sing, God bless America, Land that I love. Yet, can we really expect God’s continued blessings?

Let’s face it. Our great country could easily fade into the oblivion of history if we become so self-important that we think we know more than God and don’t need His guidance.

God’s blessings on America have been almost beyond measure. Yet, if we listen to the dialogue that’s out in the public square, we seldom hear a mention of His Name, except perhaps in derision.

Friend, the only way we can ever expect God’s continued blessings is to heed the words found in 2 Chronicles 7:14…If my people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

I don’t know about you, but I want God to hear our prayers, forgive our sins and heal our land—for our nation, and also for our dear “forgotten friends” down on the streets of Skid Row.
