:: Martin Luther ::

“No one has ever fallen so grievously that he may not rise again. Conversely, no one stands so firmly that he may not fall.”
These are the words of the immortal Martin Luther. This pillar of the faith knew all too well the grace of God, but it wasn’t always that way. As a young man he would literally beat himself trying to become more holy.
Yet one day, Luther saw the light. He finally understood Paul’s words, “Now therefore there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” Instead of frantically trying to keep the law, he embraced God’s grace… and then revolutionized the church and the world with this message.
He used the Bible itself to show examples of God’s mercy. Paul and Barnabas violently disagreed with one another. Samson and David fell to the greatest temptations. Luther wrote that even, “Job and Jeremiah cursed the day of their birth; Elijah and Jonah wearied of life and desired death.”
Friend, don’t be discouraged with the struggles of this life. Remember that where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. Walk in the freedom of God’s amazing grace!
