:: Mother's Day Banquet ::
We feed hundreds every day throughout the year. But this Mother's Day I want to do something very special for all the mothers and children and sons and daughters on Skid Row.
Celebrate Mothers
We'll be serving a wonderful Mother's Day dinner, with colorful tables set right out in the streets outside the Mission. There will be baked chicken, mashed potatoes and cream gravy, vegetables, dinner rolls . . . and even pie for dessert.
And since fresh flowers are never seen on the streets of Skid Row, every mother will receive a beautiful fresh flower. We will also have gift bags filled with personal items these moms could never afford, like shampoo, soap, lotion and tooth brushes.
How You Can Help
We've already begun our preparations to feed thousands of poor hungry people this Mother's Day. And since we'll use volunteer help, and the gift items are already donated, our greatest need is for funds to buy food.
And because we buy food in large quantities, every gift will be stretched to feed and care for as many as possible. I'm hoping you'll help us today with a generous gift: $50, $100, or even $175 or more. Click here to donate now.
