:: Norma's Story ::

Fred Jordan Mission is Saving my Life and giving me hope for the future…
My name is Norma, and I don’t know what my children and I would do without the love and support of Fred Jordan Mission. I have two jobs, I don’t use drugs or alcohol, and I feel I’m a responsible person. I love my children and want them to have a life that pleases God.
But I just can’t make it financially, try as I might. I think people call folks like me the working poor. And that says it pretty well. I work hard, but I’m poor. The good news is that I’m only poor in finances, not in spirit. That’s better than the other way around.
God is good…all the time
One thing for sure is that God is good, and He’s good all the time. And the place I see his goodness most is in the hearts and lives of the people at Fred Jordan Mission. I love Mrs. Jordan, and I know she loves me. She listens to me, shares from her heart, and she has no problem hugging me and my children. She and the Mission staff give us clean clothes and nourishing food. They also make after school help available for my kids. I’ve never experienced such joy in my life.
I’m reaching out to others now
I count my blessings every day…and now I’m looking for ways to return the favor to those who need help. Little by little I’m reaching out to others, and it makes me feel good inside. There are so many worse off then I am.
There’s someone else I want to thank…and that person is you – you who are reading my testimony. I know you sacrifice to give to the Mission to help people like me. I just want you to know that your money is both saving lives and giving our children a chance to become what God wants them to be.
God bless you and thank you for all you do.
