Christmas at The Mission

What do you say to a homeless person at Christmas?

No pre-written cards by Hallmark can provide the right words to alleviate their pain and suffering. It is disheartening to witness the emptiness in their eyes, as if life has been drained from them. It leaves me speechless. Their pain runs so deep that I struggle to find the right words in my own human capacity to express the empathy and sorrow I feel for them. However, in these moments, I am grateful that words come to life within me on a spiritual level. Words that are rooted in Scripture, stories, and the promises of God that dwell deep within my soul.

As I write to you today, I am not at a loss for words, especially during this remarkable season of the year. While the phrase “Tis the Season to be Jolly” may seem cliché, and “Jesus is the reason for the Season” makes for a great bumper sticker, the true essence of Christmas lies in the fact that God sent His only Son, Jesus, into the world. This great act of love ensures that you and I, and every single one of these precious yet helpless and hopeless individuals, know that Jesus came to save us.

That is the message I share with them: JESUS LOVES YOU!!!

As we prepare to celebrate Christmas at the Mission this year, I want our friends to understand that, beyond the food and gifts they will receive, Jesus is the greatest gift of all.

• Help us share Jesus by declaring the message of Christmas, which brings healing, restoration, and new life to those who are helpless and lost.

• Help us demonstrate God’s love by providing tangible gifts they can touch, smell, and use, such as abundant food boxes, clothing, jackets, socks, and personal necessities that will bring them comfort.

A Thanksgiving Full of Hope

We all know that November is significant for holidays like Thanksgiving and Veteran’s Day. But it is also an important month for Fred Jordan Missions because it marks the start of our “Season of Caring.” 

This Thanksgiving Season, we will serve an incredible Thanksgiving Dinner to our friends on the streets who are alone or have nothing to eat. This includes men and women who live in tents or cardboard boxes. They are all welcome to “come just as they are” and are encouraged to sit down, eat, fellowship, laugh, and hear a message about Jesus, who loves them unconditionally. We will also provide needy families living in impoverished neighborhoods near the Mission with a Thanksgiving Dinner to take home. 

This celebration has been our tradition during November for as long as I can remember—loving, serving, caring, and sharing the message of Jesus—and 2023 is no different. 

Over the last 80 years, Fred Jordan Missions has served tens of millions of meals, and we’re just getting started. With Thanksgiving just a few weeks away, the turkeys have been ordered, and the official menu includes cornbread stuffing, mashed potatoes, green beans, and a sweet dessert. It will be a delicious feast to remember! 

Today, I humbly ask for your help in making the most generous gift you’ve ever given. If you haven’t yet joined in this community of sharing and giving, I challenge you to change your life by doing so. 

Giving changes lives. Seeing others benefit from your generosity is incredibly rewarding. It shifts your perspective and gives new meaning to the blessings in your own life. The Bible says, “It is more blessed to give than receive” (Acts 20:35).

Fred Jordan Missions' "Season of Caring"

Just a few days ago, we gathered at the corner of 5th and Towne in Los Angeles to celebrate and support impoverished kids and families. It was an incredible time when we openly and tangibly demonstrated the love of Jesus. 

As you can see from the radiant smiles on these children’s faces, their expressions speak volumes. It’s a testament to the impact we made through your generous gifts and contributions. 

However, you must understand that our mission extends beyond this special event. We serve kids, moms, dads, the lost, the hurting, and those who are down and out all throughout the year. 

Just a few weeks ago, one of our generous friends, like you, donated funds so we could bless a little boy with a brand-new bicycle and give his mom a new stroller and some groceries. 

I wish you could have seen the joy that spread across the little boy’s face when he realized the bike was for him—it was truly priceless.

Watch this video to see his reaction. 

Then, as he witnessed his mom receiving the much-needed food for their family, he exclaimed, “I’m enjoying this.”

The contagious display of joy, warm embraces, and happy tears reaffirm why we continue to dedicate ourselves to serving those with great needs. We genuinely love what God has called us to do.

As we enter our “Season of Caring” and busiest time of the year at Fred Jordan Missions, we urge you to please continue giving. We’ve already completed our Back to School event and are gearing up for our Thanksgiving Banquet and Christmas Celebrations next.

Children In Need of Hope

“Jesus loves the little children, all the children of the world. Red and yellow, black and white, they are precious in His sight, Jesus loves the little children of the world.” This line is from a timeless song my mother, Willie, sang as a child. She taught it to me, and I taught it to my children. Today, these words hold an even more significant meaning in our world.

ONE THING I KNOW IS SURE IS THAT GOD IS BIG ON KIDS!

Psalm 127:3 states, “Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb is a reward.”

Jesus calls us to care for children and not send them away as insignificant because they are valuable to Him! However, sadly, children often fall victim to abuse, neglect, and other tragic situations. Child trafficking is one of the biggest crimes occurring globally, where innocent children are sold as slaves to work under horrific conditions. It is alarming that these heinous acts happen abroad and on our home turf.

More than six million children live in poverty in Los Angeles County alone. That number does not include other areas we serve, such as the Coachella Valley.

At Fred Jordan Missions, we are big on kids! We focus on truly making an impact in the lives of those we reach.

In just a few days, we will celebrate “Back to School,” which my mother launched in 1989. This year, we intend to give out thousands of BRAND-NEW SHOES.

A new pair of shoes like Nike or Adidas can have an immeasurable impact on a child’s life; they won’t be ridiculed for having old and ragged shoes. This helps equalize the playing field for them and, in some cases, can be a life-changer.

In addition to new shoes, children will also receive new clothes, backpacks, socks, school supplies, and hygiene products like shampoo and conditioner provided by Paul Mitchell.

We need your help and support to make all of this possible. We only strive to give the best, which is why all the items we provide are BRAND NEW.

The Heat is On

Hundreds of tents in various shades of blue, green, and gray stretch along the scorching streets of downtown Los Angeles. These flimsy structures constructed from plastic, cardboard, and pallets serve as the only refuge from the relentless sun for those living on the streets.
 
The heat is on, and finding relief is a constant struggle for those without a sustainable option. Yet, amidst these dire circumstances, Fred Jordan Missions stands tall with our doors open daily. We have never faltered in the face of cold, rain, COVID, or even the sweltering heat. Like an oasis in the desert, we remain committed to providing the love of Jesus and relief to the hurting, helpless, homeless, and hopeless in any way possible.
 
During these challenging times, we run our utilities at total capacity. Our doors remain open throughout the day, offering a variety of cold beverages, including water, Gatorade, and vitamin water. We also welcome individuals seeking solace, and our daily chapel services are well-attended.

To accommodate our guests, we have a dedicated staff ready to serve. Following our chapel service, we gather in our cool-temperature dining room to provide a nourishing meal to each in attendance. Our priority is the health and well-being of those we serve, ensuring they have access to nutritious and satisfying food and cold, refreshing beverages.

Clothing presents a significant challenge in the sweltering heat. We understand this struggle and ensure we provide lighter attire, clean t-shirts, socks, and essential items like skincare products, moisturizers, and deodorant. These seemingly small items may be taken for granted by many, but for those on the streets with nothing, they are true luxuries.

August is not only one of the hottest months but also one of the hardest for Fred Jordan Missions to operate. That is why your financial support is vital during this time since the daily operation of Fred Jordan Missions relies solely on the generosity of financial contributions. While we anticipate our upcoming outreach programs in the fall, such as Back to School, Thanksgiving, and Christmas events, we also require assistance throughout the year, even during non-event months like August.

IT TRULY IS BETTER TO GIVE THAN TO RECEIVE.

Life can hit us from all different directions and cause us to lose sight of Jesus by putting our attention on ourselves and our difficult circumstances.

When that happens, one of the best ways I’ve found to pull ourselves out of that pit is to help others who are struggling, give to those in need, or serve the less fortunate. Doing these simple acts can restore our joy while we weather the storms in our lives.

Jesus said in Acts 20:35, “It is more blessed to give than to receive.” His words were not a cliché but a fact.

I talk to many people who serve alongside us at Fred Jordan Missions, unselfishly giving their time and resources. They tell me that, in return for their good deeds, benevolence, and donations, they are the ones who reap the benefits in so many ways.

• SERVE
  Serving the homeless on Skid Row helps them feel loved, cared for, and like they matter to God. In return, you feel blessed for “being steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord” (1 Corinthians 15:58).
  
  

• GIVE
  Giving to the work of Fred Jordan Missions enables us to continue declaring and demonstrating the love of Jesus to the hurting, homeless, helpless, and hopeless. In return, you experience God’s blessings because “it is more blessed to give than to receive” (Acts 20:35).
  
  

• PRAY
  Praying for those hurting on Skid Row is a powerful way to intervene in their lives and make a difference every day. In return, “the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:7).

With summer upon us, we will provide thousands of gallons of fresh drinking water, nutritious meals, fresh produce and dairy, hygiene products, and lighter clothing to those on the streets to help them endure the heat.

FATHERS FULL OF JOY

Do you know we can have joy even when we face unhappy circumstances?

Psalm 16:11 says, 

“You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.”

I’m always inspired to witness the joy of my friends living on Skid Row despite the many challenges they face. I don’t want to downplay their ever-present difficulties and suffering, but I have to share that—when they arrive at Fred Jordan Missions—they are met with God’s love and compassion through “Team Jesus.” They receive warm hugs and are welcomed into our chapel, where they hear uplifting passages from Scripture like Psalm 16:11.

Once our friends leave the chapel, they head to our dining room to enjoy a hot, nourishing meal and experience the weight of their world becoming a little lighter. They engage in conversation, prayer, and even laughter as the “fullness of joy” message comes to life.

In a few days, we will honor fathers living on the streets, in low-income housing, and in neighboring communities. These men often consider basic necessities like toothbrushes and toiletries a luxury, so we will provide them with special gifts, including toiletries, clothing, food bags, fresh haircuts from Paul Mitchell Schools, and, as always, encouragement and reminders to pray in all things and trust in Jesus.

HELP MOTHERS IN NEED

Do you remember the television soap opera from many years ago, “As the World Turns?” I can’t remember ever watching it, but I remember its title, and it reminds me of a simple truth: The world keeps turning no matter what happens in our lives.

God created the earth to rotate on its axis, which makes one full rotation every day. It also orbits the sun, making one complete revolution each year. These scientific facts remind me that life goes on, even when facing difficult times.

But no matter what challenges we encounter—whether political turmoil, social unrest, unemployment, failed relationships, or personal struggles—the earth may keep spinning but we are not alone. Jesus is with us, and that fact is a huge comfort.

Today, my heart is burdened for those struggling with hopelessness, especially those living in poverty or on the streets of Skid Row. That is why Fred Jordan Missions is called to Declare and Demonstrate Jesus’ love. 

As you may know, we recently celebrated Easter on the streets of Skid Row, serving hundreds of men, women, and children. In only a few days, we will commemorate Mother’s Day by blessing precious moms in downtown Los Angeles and poverty-stricken areas of the Coachella Valley.

GIVING HOPE THIS EASTER!

Easter is a Celebration!

In just a few days, and for the first time in three years, we’ll block off the streets outside the Mission doors for our annual Easter Celebration! We’ll set up beautifully decorated tables and chairs, then serve a hot, sit-down meal of ham, potatoes, green beans, and dessert to our guests from Skid Row and the surrounding communities.

Together, we’ll sing and lift up the name of Jesus Christ, our risen Savior.

Easter is a time of new hope for everyone because their past doesn’t have to dictate their future. No matter what mess someone has made in their life, there’s victory through Jesus Christ. And this is His promise, not only to the homeless and less fortunate but to everyone. 

For many on the streets who suffer from homelessness, this will be their first Easter. They’ve never had to ask for help like this before, but I don’t have to tell you that because you know times are challenging right now. 

Recently, I learned the story of one of our guests who suffered the shock of homelessness. Living on the streets left him lonely, hurting, and malnourished for months. He said, "I was so hungry that I didn't care anymore. You'll do anything to put something in your belly when you're starving. There were times I just wanted to give up and end my life."

Then he said, "At the Mission, I have been given a new hope beyond a satisfying meal and a warm blanket, which comforts my daily needs. But I'm growing in Jesus, which is my hope for eternity."

More and more hurting souls are coming to the Mission for hot meals and clean clothes. The need is greater than ever, and we’re there for them at Easter and all year long.

“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble” (Psalm 46:1).

It’s not about giving a handout but providing hope and a hand up to those in need as we share the compassionate message of Jesus—whose hands were nailed to a cross. He was battered, killed, and laid in a tomb. But three days later, Jesus exited that grave, leaving it empty so that the message of hope would be heralded at Easter and every day of the year.

I thought you should know...

Recently, I sat with my Mom, Willie Jordan, and we talked and talked about God’s goodness.

As I’m sure you know by now, my godly, strong, and sweet mother, whom I love and admire so much, suffered a stroke five years ago. 

Today, at the young age of 90, she’s a wide-eyed prayer warrior and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. 

Though she’s not on the front lines with us leading the charge, she’s still very much engaged with what’s happening at Fred Jordan Missions.

As I sit here today writing you this letter, I want to share with you some of the things we discussed.

• A full belly— my mom, who’s from Arkansas and a great southern cook, always loved knowing that those who came through the Mission left satisfied and content.

• Smiles are contagious— that’s one epidemic we don’t mind spreading. We’ve always said, “Let’s give everyone a reason to smile.”

• Warm hearts, warm hugs— anytime is the right time for a hug. When we ask our guests on Skid Row what they need, they often say, “A hug will do.”

• I can’t fix it— though the hurt and pain seem overwhelming, and there may be no solution in sight, we’re reminded in Scripture that the poor will always be with us. We can’t completely fix it, but we don’t give up and keep doing what Jesus called us to: serve and bring hope and love to our neighbors and friends who have nothing. 

• Prayer is powerful— this is still one of the most effective tools we have to offer to those on Skid Row and the impoverished communities we serve.

I am now in my 5th year of leading Fred Jordan Missions. I’ve learned so much from my mom, so it’s always good to talk to her, share stories, and hear her nuggets of wisdom. And, of course, no matter what wonderful story trails we travel, the conversation always, and I mean always, comes back to YOU. 

What was birthed in 1944 started with a vision, a willing heart, and faithful friends who understood the mission at hand. Now, 79 years later, I look back and see that, throughout all this time, there’ve always been faithful friends who have given to Fred Jordan Missions, knowing that we are caring for the poor, needy, lost, and hopeless, and declaring and demonstrating the love of Jesus.

I want you to know that WE LOVE YOU and depend on you to continue doing this incredible work.

“We serve bread and bread—physical bread for the body and spiritual bread for the soul.” — Willie Jordan

I’ve heard it said that there are two types of people: “Numbers people” and “Words people.”

I personally consider myself a “Numbers Person.” I look at data and hard facts and communicate them straightforwardly. So when I think of God’s promises, I’d like you to take a look at some numbers with me.

Consider the number 31,102.

This figure is the number of Bible verses contained within the 66 books of Scripture—23,145 passages in the Old Testament and 7,957 in the New Testament.

Thousands of these passages are God’s promises to you and me, which I find fascinating and encouraging. This vast number is not fabricated but factual, and in our world of uncertainty, fear, doubt, and worry, we can be assured that God is with us in our time of need.

Here’s a list of my top seven promises God gives to believers that I want you to grasp:

• God promised to provide for our needs as we seek Him first (Matthew 6:33).

• God promised to answer our prayers when we pursue His will (John 15:14-15).

• God promised to work everything together for our good (Romans 8:28).

• God promised to be with us and never leave us (Hebrews 13:5).

• God promised to protect us from the evil one (2 Thessalonians 3:3).

• God promised to give us rest (Matthew 11:28).

For my friends on Skid Row, we share that God can free them from their addictions and deliver them from sin and evil. We also tell them Jesus can help with their financial burdens and bring hope to those hurting, overcoming depression, or recovering from broken marriages.

We appeal daily to the souls of men and women we love and care for to know God is there for them—and this is true for you as well, my friends.

My prayer for you today is to trust in God’s promises to meet you and your every need, and I ask that you stand and pray for Fred Jordan Missions and me in return.

My mother, Willie Jordan, often said,

“We serve bread and bread—physical bread for the body and spiritual bread for the soul.”

At Fred Jordan Missions, we often talk about our calling to “Declare and Demonstrate the Love of Jesus.”

I want to share a story with you about the impact of that statement.

This note is from Haus. His life was changed, if not saved, because of YOU, your compassionate giving, and your faithful support of our work.

“I have HIV and recently ran out of my EBT SNAP Benefits.”

EBT SNAP IS A GOVERNMENT FOOD ASSISTANCE PROGRAM FOR LOW-INCOME, SENIOR CITIZENS, AND THE DISABLED. 

“My medication requires I take it with food. My case worker knew of The Fred Jordan Mission and suggested I call them. And I did. A warm, friendly, soft voice answered and asked how they could help me. I explained my situation, and she then told me to come to the mission and that they serve Breakfast and Lunch. She took my name and said she would have something waiting for me when I arrived.”

SINCE 1944, FRED JORDAN MISSIONS HAS BEEN SERVING THOSE IN NEED IN THE HEART OF SKID ROW. 

“At 9 AM the next morning, I arrived. I gave them my name, and then they served me a hot ham and egg bagel, and a cup of coffee. A few minutes later, a man came out with two large boxes, which included a week’s supply of groceries and a bag of toiletries.”

God bless those who serve and volunteer their time to help those who are in need.

“What a blessing for me in my greatest time of need. Thank you for answering my call for help.”

2022 Year-End Impact Report

Dear Friend,

I pray you had a great Christmas and are looking forward to the New Year. I’m not big on making resolutions, but I like fresh starts, which is what I look forward to the most.

2022 may have left us a little dazed, confused, and feeling a bit knocked down. But I’m always amazed at how Jesus shows up in the midst of our trials.

(The last few months have been especially tough, so please consider a special year-end gift as you look through this special report.)

I want to share with you some good news about how Jesus showed up in 2022 before we close out our 78th year of serving those with great needs. I also want you to know just how important you are to Fred Jordan Missions.

Thanksgiving looks different for those living on the streets of Skid Row

Fall is upon us. The warm days of summer have all but faded into calm, cool mornings fit for flannel pajamas, pumpkin spice lattes, and the satisfying crunch of fallen leaves underfoot. 

In fact, that might even be a great advertisement on a vacation website.

But it is a different story for those living on the streets of Skid Row. The sweltering heat of summer may be gone, and the cement pavement where they lay their heads might be cooler to the touch. But they still wake to the aroma of sewage and human waste in the air and cars whizzing past them within a few feet. And there is nothing satisfying about the crunch of used hypodermic needles and trash underfoot that line the sidewalks.

You might say, “Joe, that is pretty graphic. You are spoiling my warm and fuzzy Thanksgiving spirit.” But the truth is “that description” does not even begin to describe what 60,000 homeless people experience daily living on the Skid Row streets.

My mom, Willie Jordan, often said, “I’d love to work myself out of a job, but sadly, the poor will always be with us.” She spoke the truth because the Bible says, “The poor will always be with you” (Mark 14:7).

I want to care for the poor by giving them hope this Thanksgiving. We will do that by preparing and feeding them hot meals and blessing them with water or a cup of coffee in the morning—they love their morning coffee! We will also provide them with blankets, socks, shoes, and other basic essentials like toothpaste and toothbrushes. And with every gesture of kindness, we love on them and share how much Jesus loves them.

That is what we do at Fred Jordan Missions. We “Declare and Demonstrate the Love of Jesus.” That is why I need you, your prayers, your volunteering services, and your sacrificial generosity during this Thanksgiving season. 

This November, we will feed and clothe our friends on Skid Row. Then,at Thanksgiving, we will serve them a hot, delicious Thanksgiving meal, including freshly roasted turkey, homemade cornbread stuffing, creamy mashed potatoes and gravy, steamed vegetables, and pumpkin pie.

Smiles, hugs, and tears of joy.

Smiles, hugs, and tears are just a few of the reactions and emotions I witnessed over the past few weeks as children were blessed through our events at FJM. Of course, I wish you were there to witness these moments with me. But, I guess, in a way, you were since it was because of your kindness, your caring, and your generosity that I was able to see those beautiful expressions of happiness and joy.

I recently read a New York Times article about the difference between happiness and joy. This is what the author wrote:

“Happiness comes from accomplishments. Joy comes when your heart is in another.”

This is something I teach often:

• Happiness is on the face, but joy is in the heart.

• Happiness is of the moment, but joy can be eternal.

• Happiness is an outward expression, but joy is inner contentment.

I want to encourage you today to choose joy, know joy, and live joy. 

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.” 

—Galatians 5:22–23

Joy is a fruit of the Spirit. And when we find true joy, it is blanketed with comfort and wrapped in peace. It’s an attitude of the heart and Spirit.

Here is the truth: Know Jesus, Know Joy.

As we continue to serve those on Skid Row and the impoverished communities of Southern California, please understand this: when you give to Fred Jordan Missions, your gift helps us feed, clothe, and help those with the greatest needs. And yes, this brings happiness, but your gift is unique because it is a direct contribution to presenting the life-changing message of Jesus Christ to each person, which brings joy!

Summertime is a busy time, and our focus is usually on other things. But as we move towards fall, our focus at Fred Jordan Missions is on the children who are heading back to school. 

Our Back to School Drive-Thru Giveaway on Skid Row is overflowing with sign-ups. We will serve 3,000 to 4,000 children and their families. Picture this: car after car driving in front of the Mission—filled with children receiving back-to-school essentials from our amazing volunteers. 

It’s a beautiful sight to see the children smile from ear to ear and their parents filled with joy and gratefulness in their hearts. 

Here is what they are receiving: BRAND NEW SHOES, new socks, new outfits, new backpacks, new school supplies, and new hygiene kits. 

And all this would not be possible without your generous help. Many of you have already given, and I want to personally say thank you. 

We need all the help we can get from our supporters to make this Back to School Drive-Thru Giveaway happen. So if you have the means and the heart to, would you consider giving a special gift towards this event, even beyond what you may typically give?

ALMOST HALF A MILLION CHILDREN LIVING IN POVERTY IN LOS ANGELES

“It’s one thing to BE POOR, it’s another thing to LOOK POOR.” 

That’s a statement I have often heard my mother, Willie Jordan, say. Most of the time, this applied to our conversations about children and their school clothes. 

As a child, she can remember living in Arkansas and going to school in a tattered dress and no shoes. Humiliated and embarrassed, but that was the reality of being raised in a large family with barely enough money for food, much less for clothes. 

According to U.S. Census recent estimates, LA County is home to over 10M. 18.2% of all people in LA County live below the poverty level, including 26.6% children. The quick math on that is 1.8M total people, with over 480,000 of those being children. 

It seems like an uphill battle. These statistics are not going down; they are going up, but the Jordan family, my parents, Fred and Willie, stayed in the fight, and yes, today, I’m geared up for battle.

You may ask, what are you doing about it, Joe? 

Where do I begin? 

In August, we are preparing for our “Back to School Giveaway,” which is something my mother started back over 35 years ago. This is, for lack of a better term, an “Extravaganza.” 

In just a few weeks, we will be giving away thousands of pairs of brand-new shoes to the children of Los Angeles! 

In preparation for them returning to school, they will receive socks (you need new socks for those new shoes), new clothes, backpacks, school supplies, and hygiene and toiletries kits with toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, and so much more. 

I really want to emphasize the word new because I want you to know that these are not hand-me-down items. With your help and your support, we only give the best, so these items are NEW. 

My mother fully understands the importance of sending these precious children to school with fresh, clean new shoes, clothes, and also a smile on their faces, and I understand the importance too.

Serving Hope this Summer!

“We must accept finite disappointment, but we must never lose infinite hope.”

Finite—having limits, that is man’s perspective, and today there are so many limitations put on us, just in living life, we are limited, we all feel the effects of our economy. Feeding my family is not the same as it was three months ago, much less helping thousands of individuals on the streets of Skid Row or helping families throughout Greater Los Angles and into the Coachella Valley.

Finite is limited, but as Dr. King stated, “we must never lose infinite hope.”

INFINITE Hope is found in knowing Jesus.

Do you know Him today?

Have you put all your trust in Him?

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. —Romans 15:13

God wants us to know and trust Him so that even when we can’t see for sure what He is doing, we do not doubt Him.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” —Jeremiah 29:11

We can put our trust in what the Lord is doing in our personal relationships, our family, our careers, our finances, our health, and in every circumstance in our lives.

Please know this, I’m praying for you, and I ask that you pray for Fred Jordan Missions.

Summer is here, and with summer comes the scorching heat among other hardships for those living on the streets.
